Bruno Mars and Cardi B hit it off when they recorded “Finesse,” so much so that he invited the trap star to join him on his world tour this fall. But after giving birth to her baby girl Kulture, Cardi just couldn’t find it in her heart to leave her baby girl behind. To prove there were no hard feelings at the time, Mars declared that he would give Cardi her due props at every show:
And he’s been true to his word. To the delight of his fans, he’s been crushing a drum solo every night set to Cardi B’s breakout hit “Bodak Yellow.” I have to say, I really respect the total support he’s shown Cardi since she announced she couldn’t go on tour with Mars.
Cardi suffered some unexpected complications after birth, and her doctor advised her against traveling so much with such a young newborn, so Cardi pulled out graciously and put her family first. “I thought that after giving birth to my daughter that 6 weeks would be enough time for me to recover mentally and physically,” she wrote. “Not only am I just not ready physically, I’m not ready to leave my baby behind since the doctors explained it’s not healthy for her to be on the road.”
