Coconut Body Scrub: Keeping Your Skin Soft and Radiant


It’s generally true that when you take care of yourself, you feel motivated to dress prettier, you feel more attractive, and therefore you project a self-confidence image to everyone around you! Fabulosa!

With that in mind, why not use a few minutes of your next shower to exfoliate with this homemade (and very effective) coconut scrub? This easy-to-make scrub produces immediate results for a soft, radiant skin right after the shower. My recommendation is to use it at least once per week, but if you can do it twice, even better! Look how easy it is to make the scrub:

1½ cup sea salt

1½ cup sugar (white or brown)

1 tablespoon coconut oil

This tablespoon may vary depending on the texture you desire for your scrub. It can be like a paste or more like a cream. Experiment making it different ways and find your ideal state of graininess!

In the shower, after cleaning your body, scrub your whole body and pay special attention to your elbows, knees, heels (specially the heels!) and the upper thighs, including the backside (this area tends to get coarse if you sit down all day at work). Since I like wearing lots of off-the-shoulder tops, I focus on my shoulders to ensure they look radiant. Try to use the scrub every week; after a few uses, you will see results as soon as you step out of the shower.
