Monica L. Dashwood is a freelance writer for Wine Country This Week and blog writer for Wine Country Diaries. She is also the Founder and President of Gaining Insights, Inc. a professional and personal growth company, offering services and programs to organizations and individuals in transition.

Latin blood runs in her veins. Her mother and father were born in Argentina (Buenos Aires and Mendoza respectively) and growing up, she lived on good Argentine food, wine and the tango, traveling back and forth from California to Buenos Aires.

For fun, she makes a red blend wine Nicolas Alexander, named for her two teenage boys. She lives in Sonoma, California with her husband and three cats.
