Priscilla María was born in the United States to a refugee from Nicaragua and a survivor from Ecuador. She grew up frequently moving and has lived in multiple cities within California, Connecticut, Maryland, Michigan, and Pennsylvania. As a bisexual Gemini with lived mental health experience, Priscilla has walked a colorful path. After completing her education at Johns Hopkins University and UC Irvine School of Law, Priscilla María finally found the courage to pursue what she’d always wanted to: mental health advocacy for Black and Brown folks. Drawing from the pages of her mental diary, she boldly shares the most vulnerable times of her life to promote healing within the communities she loves. She’s a bruta and mujer rebelde to some and an exceptional role model to others. Check out her work and decide for yourself. She welcomes the feedback.
