In light of the divisive climate of we all find ourselves saddled in this week, why not think about giving back through some local charities or non-profits? This year, the Greater Miami event is for 24 hours on November 17. They made history on Give Miami Day 2015, raising $7.1 million for more than 600 local nonprofits from more than 17,000 donors spanning the city, nation, and globe. This week we’ll be highlighting some local charities in the Miami area.
Give Miami Day is one of the biggest annual giving events in the Southeast United States.
Give Miami Day allows all individuals in our community to make a philanthropic impact by collectively supporting our local nonprofit organizations. Twenty-four hours of giving begins at 12:00 a.m. November 17 and ends at 12:00 a.m. on November 18, 2016. Throughout the day, individuals may view online profiles of more than 600 nonprofit organizations serving Miami-Dade County and make a charitable gift here on givemiamiday.org.
