Cut the ginger and turmeric root into half inch pieces. You can leave the mint, peppercorns, and cranberries (if using) whole.
Add ingredients to boiling water.
Cover and reduce to a medium/low heat. Let the mixture simmer for 15-30 minutes, depending on how strong you like your tea. I like my tea strong so I usually simmer for at least 20 minutes if not longer.
Turn off heat, get out your favorite tea cup and ladle hot tea in the cup. You can use a sieve to help keep out pieces of pepper.
Add some fresh squeezed lemon and honey to taste if you would like.
