Every year, the first effect the fall has in my body is that my skin starts to dry out. I go from a soft and tanned face to a peeling and every day paler complexion in a matter of days, and this sign tells me that I need to start changing my daily habits to prepare for the cool months to come.
When I was a kid and a teenager, I always felt cold and disliked the chill I felt all the way to my bones whenever the temperature dropped a little, but I had no clue there was anything I could deliberately do to change the way I felt other than wearing thicker socks, a scarf, and gloves.
I was so wrong!
The following tips are some of the useful things I learned in Ayurveda class a few years ago. They help me feel warmer and more at peace with the fall and winter than ever before, and I so wish I had known them a long time ago.
