The stars brought down the house last night at the 2018 Latin Billboard Music Awards. Seriously, what a show! Let’s begin with the most obvious that I cannot get out of my head: J.Lo. The singer/actress debuted a new song, titled “Anillo” and looked like a golden god. The performance could have been something out of Cirque Du Soleil. No wonder she has a Las Vegas residency. She looked and sounded amazing.

Cardi B also performed! The expecting singer — who’s cutting back on her schedule because um, she can’t breathe — and Ozuna performed “La Modelo.”
Looks like the artists were perhaps lip-synching, but honestly does it really matter?

Before we get into Ricky Martin’s performance, we MUST do a shoutout to his red-carpet look. I mean, how can you not, when you look like this.

So Ricky, alongside Wisin & Yandel, performed “Fiebre” and I honestly felt like I did have a fever. Here’s a snippet:

The real star of the night was Luis Fonsi, who seemed to win every award. His song “Despacito” garnered six Billboard awards including, hot Latin song of the year; hot Latin song of the year, vocal event; airplay song of the year; digital song of the year; streaming song of the year; and Latin pop song of the year.
“My career was mostly based in Latin American countries, so to be able to go into these exotic places, singing in Spanish is truly a blessing and I’m enjoying it and I hope that it keeps on growing and doors keep on opening for Latin music — not only for me, but for all my colleagues,” Fonsi said in an interview with Billboard.
Speaking of “Despacito,” Justin Bieber also won several awards for his collaboration including Crossover Artist of the Year.
