Going into the 90th Academy Awards we weren’t expecting to see much in terms of Latino recognition. Yes, Guillermo del Toro’s Shape of Water had the most film nominations, but other than a couple of other nods, Latinos had largely been shut out. However, even with such poor odds, Latinos took every chance they had to rep for la cultura.

Here are the TK moments Latino pride was on full display at the Oscars.

It was a dope reminder of Latina excellence.
