María Villagómez: When staying home, I like to relax with a glass of good wine and some small bites: good cheeses, nuts, crackers, fruit, veggies, and meats. Definitely listen to music, lots of music (70s music and mambo/salsa). When I’m with family, we play cards, maybe a drinking game, and we try to eat 12 grapes (representing each month of the year) as a tradition for good luck for the following year.
HL: What if you go out? Where do you go and what do you do?
MV: When going out, it’s about dressing up for fun! Definitely dinner, dancing, and more dancing. I usually like going out with friends rather than with family (by NYE, I’ve had enough of family between Thanksgiving and Christmas!) lol 🙂
HL: Favorite NYE drink of choice?
MV: Honestly, I guess as an adult I no longer have favorites, but my tendency would be to have a glass of good merlot.
HL: Favorite hangover remedy?
MV: Definitely seafood soup with lots of spice and saltine crackers!
