The Sidecar Cocktail – Traditional Recipe

The Sidecar Cocktail



  • 4 ounces cognac
  • 2 ounces Cointreau
  • 2 ounces freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 2 3-inch strip of lemon zest


  1. Chill two cocktail glasses
  2. Fill a shaker with cracked ice
  3. Add cognac, Cointreau, and lemon juice
  4. Shake assertively for a minute or so
  5. Strain into chilled cocktail glasses; garnish with a strip of zest

Sidecar Cocktail is a tasty combination of cognac,  triple sec, and lemon juice hits the right amount of sweet and savory. It’s difficult not to feel classy while sipping on this golden hued treat-usually coming in a sugar rimmed glass.
