It looks like the beauty gods have finally answered my prayers because now butt masks actually exist thanks to the beauty brand Anese. Yes girl, I mean a mask – like the ones you’d normally use for your face – but specifically designed for your booty. It’s a thing and I can’t believe it’s taken this long to happen.
Anyone who has known me long enough, knows I’m a total skincare junkie. It doesn’t end with my face either. My skincare routine touches every part of my body – from my face to my feet. I even started dedicating a specific regimen just for my butt last year, which was inspired by a butt facial I received at a fancy spa. I also felt less crazy after learning that Madonna uses her luxury skincare line MDNA Skin on her butt and this Anese Down with the thickness Collagen Booty Mask – that only cost $35 by the way – just confirms that we’ve both been on to something all along.
Anese claims they are “making booty masking a thing” and you better believe it. The pink clay mask is designed to detox, hydrate, and even plump your booty, leaving it super soft and firm- looking. Did I mention that this thing smells like ripe peach too? Like in reference to the peach emoji. Seriously, how cute is that?
And unlike the hydrating face masks I apply to my butt weekly, this one consists of clay to help absorb excess oils – perfect for the girl who struggles with butt acne – and it actually hardens. So you definitely want to leave this treatment for a day you can actually afford to walk around your apartment butt naked. In other words, when your roomie isn’t home!
I did a quick search to see if any other brands have jumped on the butt mask bandwagon yet and only came across the Massk Bamboo Charcoal Butt Cheek Mask that retails at a pricey $69.
If the Anese butt mask alone doesn’t sell you, the fact that the brand also sells a full-on booty scrub called That Booty Though will. It’s said to reduce the appearance of cellulite, stretch marks, and discoloration when used in conjunction with the mask. I personally already exfoliate my butt daily, so this of course had me hyped.
