It’s only been three weeks since Jennifer Lopez wrapped up her three-year Las Vegas residency and she’s still going hard in her live performances. The Puerto Rican pop icon performed “Limitless,” her new song off her upcoming movie Second Act last night at the American Music Awards and was on fire. We haven’t seen Lopez do such an emotional performance like this—like ever!

We’re used to seeing J.Lo busting out the dance moves in sexy bodysuits on stage but last night we saw another side of her musical artistry. She gave a powerful performance that not only showed off her stronger vocal skills but it was the kind of performance we just don’t expect from her. Between the way she sang that song, that cool sparkly jumpsuit she wore and the lighting effects on stage—J.Lo was basically ruling the world last night.

The crowd was loving it for sure, including Tracee Ellis Ross who was legit shook and her bae Alex Rodriguez who was proving himself to be the ultimate Instagram boyfriend, by  tweeting snips of her performance while singing her praises all night. He was so into it. It was the cutest.

Did I mention she ruled the red carpet too in this fabulous hot pink dress? Yes girl, you already know. When it comes to fashion, J.Lo always delivers.

J.Lo might have ended her All I Have Residency in Las Vegas but she did promise fans she’d be back and that performance last night definitely gave us a peek into that. She shut the house DOWN and we’re excited to see what else she has up her sleeve musically speaking.
