We love a good challenge! If you’re a fan of dance challenges — remember Drake’s “In My Feelings” challenge or Rae Sremmurd’s “Black Beatles” #MannequinChallenge — well, we got a new one for you. For all you Beyoncé lovers — that’s probably everyone — the Queen Bee has a new challenge for all of you, and it’s called the #BeforeIletgoChallenge.

You may already know about it after watching Beyoncé’s new documentary Homecoming on Netflix. If you haven’t seen it, stop everything and watch it! It’s a revolutionary documentary that not only explores Beyoncé’s Coachella 2018 performance but also touches on self-empowerment and embracing the beauty of Blackness. It’s truly a work of art. Towards the very end of the documentary (during the credits), Beyoncé covers the R&B soul classic “Before I Let Go” that was first released by Frankie Beverly and Maze in 1995. Beyoncé’s rendition features her own dance and everyone is already doing it.

Beyoncé posted her very first Insta-story last night, featuring fans doing the #BeforeIletgoChallenge and it’s fantastic! Here are the steps to the dance:

“Turn around, dip, then slide
And twirl that ass to the right now
Ooh
Bunny hop, bunny hop, drop, pop
Cross your legs, turn around and clap
And shuffle to the left, let’s glide now
Ooh
Drop it down, drop it down low, low
Low, low, low to the floor
Bring it up, clap, then roll
Step on ’em, step on ’em, step on ’em, step
Step on ’em, kick on ’em, stomp and you step
Swag the right, surf the left
Work the middle till it hurt a little”

But these clips will help you get the challenge done right.

Beyoncé is featuring all sorts of dancers on her Insta-story from a girl dancing among her dirty clothes to a group of people dancing as a dog photobombs their performance. It’s super cute.

This dance challenge is the perfect way to celebrate Beyoncé’s Netflix documentary, the album release of Homecoming and Lemonade is FINALLY available on all music streaming services!

We’re going to ride this Beyoncé wave until our legs tire. Until then load your #BeforeIletgoChallenge on social media because who knows, she may feature it on her Instagram. Ready set go!
