Karol G Debuts ‘AltaFarra’ Live — And Fans Are Wondering If a Deluxe Is Coming

Karol G has done it again. The Colombian superstar surprised fans in Mexico City by performing “AltaFarra” live for the first time during a TikTok Live. The track — produced by Korean-Venezuelan DJ Maracuyá and featuring Mexican reggaeton group La Obsesión — has been going viral on TikTok for months. Still, no one expected La Bichota to bring it to the stage.

If the song sounds familiar, it’s probably because it’s been all over your FYP. Originally titled “altafarra_x La obsesión factorY_dj_maracuya_x kg_coqueteo_indie_perraaa,” the track was first uploaded to SoundCloud earlier this year under the playful username “caroliNA Xxxtra SparKLYyy.” It samples La Obsesión’s “AltaFarra” and Daft Punk’s “Veridis Quo,” blending reggaeton with the French duo’s signature electronic touch.

During the Live, Karol G told fans she hopped on the track simply because she couldn’t stop listening to the mix, and then brought out Maracuyá and La Obsesión to perform it together for the first time.
