Meghan Markle Has Given Birth and It’s a Boy!
The time has come folks
The time has come folks. The newest royal baby has finally arrived! Meghan Markle and Prince Harry — formerly known as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex — welcomed their first child earlier today and it’s a boy!
Not only is their baby boy the seventh in line to the British throne — behind Prince Harry of course — but he is also the first interracial baby in the British monarchy’s recent history. Buckingham Palace released an official statement that Meghan gave birth at 5:26 a.m. which was confusing for a lot of us waiting because the palace announced she was in labor hours after she had her baby. The newborn is said to weigh 7 pounds and 3 ounces.
Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Sussex was safely delivered of a son at 0526hrs.
The baby weighs 7lbs 3oz and The Duke of Sussex was present for the birth.

A name has yet to be announced and according to the NY Times, no mention of whether the baby will receive a royal title has been made yet.
We had been waiting for weeks for this moment and had no clue of the baby’s gender before today. But apparently, the gender wasn’t news to Meghan and Harry who knew the whole time but just chose to keep it private.
Meghan has definitely shaken things up at Buckingham Palace pretty much since she started dating Prince Harry. Not just because she’s Black but also because she’s an American actress. She even had a ton of Hollywood celebs at their wedding and featured a gospel choir and a free-styling African American preacher. Now she just gave birth to the first interracial baby in the family’s royal history and we are ALL for it!
Congrats to the happy couple. Wishing them all the best during this wonderful and exciting time!
