With so much heavy news circulating the internet, it’s nice to read about something sweet and happy every once in a while. Actress and activist America Ferrera has officially become a mom! She gave birth to her first child and son with husband Ryan Piers Williams on Tuesday and confirmed the wonderful news on Instagram.
Ferrera captioned an adorable photo of her son’s foot with: “When 2 becomes 3… Welcome Sebastian Piers Williams—aka Baz! Mom Dad, and Baby are happy, healthy and totally in love!”

We can’t even imagine how happy these two must be with their baby. She’s been such an advocate for women’s rights and just human rights, that we know she’s going to be such a great mother and role model to her son. Just last week she shared how she’s done with letting anyone—including Hollywood directors—stereotype her for being Latina.
Meanwhile, Ferrera’s good friend and #TimesUp partner Eva Longoria is also expecting her first child—also a baby boy—with husband José Antonio Bastón. The 43-year-old confirmed she was four months along back in December, which would make her close to nine months pregnant, which means that baby is going to be here any second now.
