Bad Bunny to Release New Album ‘Debí Tirar Más Fotos’

Bad Bunny is ringing in the new year by dropping his latest album entitled Debí Tirar Más Fotos translated as “I should have taken more photos.” The Puerto Rican reggaetonero announced his upcoming album in an Instagram post on December 26 with a video featuring filmmaker Jacobo Morales. The announcement was accompanied by the release of his single “Pitorro De Coco”. Spotify’s most-streamed Latin Artist of 2024, El Conejo Malo is following up his albums Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana and Un Verano Sin Ti, both which went on to break records worldwide in streaming. The Puerto Rican musician announced the news on Instagram in a short video featuring Puerto Rican filmmaker Jacobo Morales. The 30-year-old artist also released a new single, “Pitorro De Coco”, joining his previous single release “El Club”.

In the video, Morales is seen reminiscing to his animated friend “Concho” about how there is no place like Puerto Rico. In the Instagram post, captioned “DTmF”, he speaks to photos capturing “lived moments”, memories, and wishing he had taken more photos. The teaser alludes to themes of nostalgia and aging as well as the permanence of memory.

“I should have lived more, I should have loved more while I could. While you’re alive, one should love as much as they can.”  he says.

He also recently teased this upcoming album in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, in which he listed 17 tracks all entitled “Bomba”—seemingly a reference to the traditional Puerto Rican dance and music style.

As fans await Bad Bunny’s latest record, the reggaetonero has built quite the catalogue with his previous record-breaking albums. His 2022 album Un Verano Sin Ti became on of the most-successful albums of the year, becoming Spotify’s most-streamed album of all time with over 18 billion streams. Since its release, the album received abundant praise and accolades including the Grammy Award for Best Música Urbana Album. He also held the title for most-streamed artist on Spotify for three consecutive years and was the first non-English speaker to earn the title. His fifth studio album Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana, followed suit debuting at the top of the Billboard 200 Albums chart, his third album to debut at the top and becoming his third consecutive No.1 album.

Debí Tirar Más Fotos is set to release on January 5 on all major streaming platforms.
