We are living in a day and age when we are spoiled for choice when it comes to curly hair products. That was far from the case 20 years ago, but luckily many entrepreneurs rose up to the challenge and began to create lines of products for this underserved market. Many of them happen to be owned by women of color, and we’ve rounded up some amazing options which you can shop the next time you need to replenish your curly hair stash.
Honey Baby Naturals
This natural curly hair and skin care brand is the brainchild of Puerto Rican mom Aisha Ceballos-Crump. The former chemical engineer started Honey Baby Naturals as a way to “meet the various needs for her three kids’ unique hair textures,” according to the company website. Honey is the star ingredient in her line, which her grandmother used to hydrate her skin and hair. The line’s Knot My Honey Instant Detangler ($11, Target) is one of its greatest hits.
