The 37-year-old star — who was born in the Dominican Republic — renamed it “El Patiochella” and has el rey de Bachata Romeo Santos headlining day one with other artists including Natti Natasha, Hector Acosta, Fernando Villalona, Raúlin Rodriguez, and Sancocho. Day two headliner Toñogalactico Rosario is joined by big-name artists including Ozuna, Cardi B and iconic bachata group, Aventura. She closes it out with a bang with bachata and merengue superstar Juan Luis Guerra along with Fefita la Grande, Luis Vargas, merengue band Los Hermanos Rosarios, and El Alfa.
The popular music festival is taking place in Coachella Valley, California from April 10 to 12 and April 17 to 20 is actually featuring a few Latinx artists day one headliners Rage Against the Machine, Jessie Reyez, Anitta, Cuco, Chicano Batman, Princess Nokia, and the Beach Goons.
There are a total of 18 Latinx acts performing during the festival, showcasing different sounds including DJs The Martinez Brothers, Erick Morillo, Paco Osuna, Colombian dance/electronica artist ela minus, psychedelic pop quintet Inner Wave, pop band Cariño, rock band Giselle Woo & The Night Owls. Additionally, Mexican folk singer-songwriter Ed Maverick, Brazilian drag queen and singer Pabllo Vittar, Argentine pop and dance star Nathy Peluso, Omar Apollo, and Mexican Banda Banda MS. Tickets for the first weekend are already sold-out and there are limited general admission with shuttle and VIP tickets just became available for the second weekend. But we can’t blame Dasha for wanting to see more of her favorite Dominican artists there. Someone needs to organize a real Dominican Chella!
