Demi’s Little Sister Shares A Sweet Birthday Message of Gratefulness

Yesterday, Demi Lovato turned 26. It was a bitter kind of a birthday for the singer but one full of gratefulness. Despite the singer not making a big birthday celebration — at least not on social media — because she’s currently in rehab, those closest to her are extremely happy they were able to celebrate another year with her.
Her little sister Madison posted a touching message for her big sis on Instagram. In the note, which featured a picture of the two of them as little children, was one of happiness even though she’s going through a tough time.
“Today could have been one of the worst days of my life, but instead i get to spend it thanking God, the incredible doctors, Demi’s team, and everyone across the world who offered their support — without all of these people i wouldn’t have my big sister anymore,” Madison writes. “I’ve been thinking about how I wish that everyone could see the silly little things that she does, like how her nostrils move when she says certain words and when she brushes my hair behind my ear when i’m trying to sleep, because those are the things i’m thankful for today. They seem so small, but those little things make up my sister — not a singer, not a celebrity, and definitely not what she’s been described as in the media — she’s a daughter, a friend, and my big sister…and I am so, so thankful that i can tell her happy birthday. #happybirthdaydemi.”
Demi’s mother also reposted Madison’s picture and wrote: “Thank you for all your love and prayers… I am truly blessed. #thankful#happybirthdaydemi.”
It’s so beautiful that her family is not only wishing her a happy birthday but are also respecting her privacy. Demi definitely had a low key birthday but it’s one that we are all happy to know she is still with us.
