Eva Longoria Is Honored With Star on Hollywood Walk of Fame

It was an emotional afternoon for Eva Longoria who was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame yesterday in Los Angeles. The actress — who does way more than just act — talked about all that she has experienced in the past 20 years. She said she’s gotten so many opportunities and awards, and gained amazing friends in the process. However, it wasn’t until she met her husband, Jose Pepe Baston, that all her dreams were realized.

“Thank you amor, for completing all of my dreams,” Eva said during her acceptance speech.

At the emotional ceremony, Eva — who is of course expecting a son — was joined by some of her famous friends and collaborators including Ricky Martin, Victoria Beckham, Anna Faris, Mario Lopez and others.

“Oh my god, it was really surreal today,” Eva said to “Entertainment Tonight.” “I meant it when I said, 20 years ago, standing almost at this spot saying, ‘I’m gonna have a star one day,’ and then, for it to happen, was really surreal.”

Ana Martinez, producer of the Walk of Fame ceremonies, said in a press release statement that Eva represents what Hollywood is all about because she has taken her talent and delivered so much more.

“We are not going Overboard when we say that Eva Longoria is one of Hollywood’s most popular television stars and directors,” Ana said. “She embodies the woman who is working hard on her craft and at the same time gets involved in world matters. We are proud to add this popular actress on our historic Walk of Fame.”

“As a woman and as a Latina, I represent a lot of communities, and I want to tell all those communities that this isn’t my star, this is our star,” Eva said.
