The 8th Annual Sabor del Valle is a family-friendly fundraiser that celebrates local restaurateurs and award-winning Latino and boutique vintners. Started by San Jose-native Ray Castaneda, Sabor del Valle draws a diverse group of attendees from all around Silicon Valley and helps provide support to a variety of standout educational and medical non-profits bringing direly needed services to minority children both in and around San Jose and across Latin America.

Last year, around 500 attendees raised more than $55,000 — funding tuition, educational supplies, and healthcare around the Bay area and cleft lip and palate repair surgeries for children in Latin America. The money helped give countless kids opportunities that would’ve otherwise been out of there reach, including access to an intensive summer math camp that has helped many teens reach their Ivy League dreams.
