Theme of the Week: 7 of Cups
The Seven of Cups is a card that can represent our dreams, aspirations, goals, and visions — as well as their counterparts. While we all have our wants, many times, we sabotage ourselves right when we’re on the precipice of achieving them. Why? Usually, this is not a conscious act. This is why we must acquaint ourselves with our shadow side. Once we understand our own demons — the limitations we place on ourselves and why — we can then consciously make an effort to stop getting in our own way. Your own worst enemy is only yourself.
Your Card: The Lovers
Spring has sprung for you, Aries. While the flowers blossom and the sun shines bright, so does your heart. Something you have been longing for is finally taking shape and with it comes a sweetness and comfort that you don’t plan on letting go of any time soon. The more that you relinquish control and lean into this, the more encouraging it will become. But, do not forget that life is full of chapters and phases. Although this moment won’t last forever, who’s to say the future won’t be as sweet, if not better?
Your Card: The Fool
The song “Sunny” by Bobby Hebb entered my mind as soon as I pulled this card for you, Taurus. The lyrics go, “Sunny, yesterday my life was filled with rain… Now the dark days are done and the bright days are near, My sunny one shines so sincere…” Things may have been looking a little doom and gloom, but today is a new day! It’s time for an attitude adjustment. Gone are the days of a pessimistic outlook. Take a leap of faith and begin to lead with optimism. Things will work out, even if you can’t see the forest through the trees just yet.
Your Card: Page of Wands
You are continuing on your journey, dear Cancer. Regardless of the path behind you, you have managed to lead with grace, dignity, as well as great tenacity. You still have quite an expedition ahead of you, and while there are perceived obstacles, they will not be as difficult to pass as you are expecting. The road ahead lies fairly even, with the exception of a few minor bumps. Surely, it is nothing you can’t handle. You have asserted yourself wisely, in order to get this far. Rest easy knowing the throne is close at hand.
Your Card: King of Swords
You be knowing, Leo. At least, you think you be knowing. Anything you don’t know, you have your ways to find out. It would be wise to keep in mind: “Believe half of what you see and none of what you hear.” The way the king’s feathered friend sits perched on his shoulder brings to my mind the Edgar Allen Poe poem, “The Raven.” The main character only longs for peace-of-mind, but there is this bird chirping in his ear throughout the poem, influencing his thoughts. Be aware of fear-based epiphanies now. Not every inkling has merit. You would do well to talk it out and get down to the truth of the matter, rather than torturing yourself by maintaining assumptions. This could very quickly put your heart and mind at ease.
Your Card: Queen of Cups
Virgo, it is very important that you take care of yourself. Keep in mind that this includes both physically and mentally. Your mental health is just as important and should be handled with the same degree of attention. If you can afford a relaxing spa day, by all means, treat yourself. But if you can’t, there are a plethora of ways to nourish your body and soul. I’m seeing the queens cup and bowl as an elixir to ingest – signifying soup or juice, perhaps even nutritional supplements. Anything which will really rejuvenate you working from the inside, out. This is a major key, and I’m hearing the most important factor to be conveyed here. Health is wealth, Virgo!
Your Card: The Hierophant
The Hierophant is coming to you this week as your teacher, Libra. You have much to learn about a person or situation. I’m hearing an emphasis on a specific person, though. Give this the patience it needs, and expect the unexpected. Most likely, you will be surprised rather than disappointed with what you learn. Be open-minded and willing to be a student of the universe. Every person in the world has their own piece of knowledge, but no one has all the answers. That is all a part of the spice of life.
Your Card: 9 of Pentacles
It is all about you, Scorpio. You’re all about doing what you want to do and when you want to do it. But sometimes, that’s actually okay. Not everyone is going to like it (not that you really GAF.) But, as far as those you do GAF about are concerned — giving yourself the gift of these moments of serenity can make a world of difference in your life. You will be happier. Therefore, you will be better at everything — your work, relationships, etc. If you refute basic needs like time to yourself, you are, in actuality, denying everyone (including yourself) the best version of you.
Your Card: 3 of Swords
I’m not going to lie, Sag. It’s going to be a rough week for you. Something painful is coming up, and it looks like this may not be the first time this has happened. For the same fears and reasons that you’ve kept things under lock and key, is why you are in this position now. I’m hearing that you’ve kept your cards close for fear of vulnerability and rejection. But, if you never let yourself be vulnerable, you’ll never know what is possible. No risk, no reward. You will have to live with never having taken that risk, but know that you won’t feel hurt forever. The good news is that it will finally put what was once a lingering question in your mind, to its final resting place.
Your Card: 3 of Pentacles
I see you making attempts at an escape plan now, Capricorn. You’ve gotten into something that you don’t see yourself having a future with anymore. It is more so that you do not envision this path leading towards your ideal. It is one you see as majorly lacking, and Caps do not do poverty. There will be tests of will and challenges to overcome. I keep seeing this as an Indiana Jones adventure. Get in, take what you came for, and get out as fast and as stealthy as possible. It will be in your best interest to have a strategy in place first. Good luck!
Your Card: Ace of Cups
You are in the thick of things right now, Aquarius. But, consider this an opportunity. You have the power of choice in your hands. You can keep paddling through, continuing on, and eventually landing on the other side. Although, there is no telling where you will actually be landing. This could be in a place you are quite pleased with or, things could very well end up regretful. Your other option is meeting halfway. You tend to think you know best, so this may not sit well with you at first, but all things considered, this looks like the sweet spot and best possible chance at a satisfactory outcome.
Your Card: Knight of Swords
You are pumped up and ready to go, Pisces! There is no thinking, only doing. Any reservations you might have are being deliberately pushed aside in your mind. There is definitely some part of you feeling anxiety about these next steps, though. Your nerves will only slow you down if you let them. Someone once told me that anxiety is just a form of excitement. Try to harness and transition any thoughts of worry into positive self-talk. Stay conscious of your mindset. Actively transition your thoughts into motivation and movement, rather than let them debilitate you with discouragement.
