Eating healthy shouldn’t just be something that you focus in the weeks after the New Year, right? In fact, eating healthy, delicious, nutritious, and AH-mazing Latin meals throughout the year is something that I personally pride myself on. One of the best ways I’ve found to eat healthy is to try the Whole30 diet. Well, actually, it’s not so much a diet as it is a program designed to reshape your relationship with food. And yes, it can really work if you follow what the plan lays out.
If you’re familiar with Paleo eating, then you probably already know the basics of Whole30. The program asks you to eat real food but avoid five main categories: added sugar (real or artificial), alcohol, grains, legumes, and dairy. It sounds tough but, trust me, it’s worth it. Although I no longer follow the plan, it helped me to understand the way my body reacts to certain food and put me on the path to healthy eating. Most importantly, though, I never felt like I was eating boring food or depriving myself of anything — and you won’t either with these 15 Whole30-approved Latin recipes. Que delicioso!
