“Problem,” Ft. will.i.am

The first Becky G song on this list takes us back to 2012. In August of that year, the artist dropped the single, “Problem,” which features will.i.am, and later was used to create “Problem (The Monster Remix)” for the film Hotel Transylvania.

“Becky from the Block”

One of Becky G’s first jams that you might remember is her ode to Jennifer Lopez’s “Jenny from the Block,” called “Becky from the Block.” The song was released in April of 2013 and J.Lo even made a cameo in the music video, which you can watch above.

“Play It Again”

In the same year that she released “Becky from the Block,” Becky G dropped the single, “Play it Again.” The song appeared on the Chicana’s EP of the same name, along with four other tunes, including “Can’t Get Enough,” featuring Pitbull.

“Quiero Bailar (All Through the Night),” 3Ball MTY Ft. Becky G

Becky G is probably best known for her dope collaborations with other artists. One such collabo is the song “Quiero Bailar (All Through the Night),” with Mexican DJ group 3Ball MTY. This single was released in 2013 and showcases Becky’s ability to drop lyrics in both English and Spanish.

“Shower”

Released in 2014, Becky G’s “Shower” made it onto Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. The hit further pushed her career forward and further popularized the Chicana from Inglewood, California.

“We Are Mexico”

Becky G has made it a point to be an outspoken female in a male-dominated world. This translates to her music, of course, as it did with the single, “We Are Mexico.” The jam, an ode to hard-working, honest, and cool Mexicans, was dropped in 2015 and is Becky’s response to Trump’s remarks about immigrants.

“Superstar,” Pitbull Ft. Becky G

In 2016, Becky G collaborated with Pitbull again for the jam, “Superstar.” It’s a special track, as it was the official theme song for the Copa America Centenario, 1916 to 2016. You know you’ve made it when you’ve worked with Pitbull (more than once!) and are a part of sports history with one of your tunes.

“Sola”

The next song on this roundup of Becky G jams is “Sola.” It marks the first time that the artist did a song completely in Spanish, and is part of the star’s successful formula of building solid English and Spanish-speaking audiences. “Sola” was released in 2016 and peaked at #4 on Billboard’s Latin Pop Digital Song Sales, as well as appearing on other Billboard charts.

“Si Una Vez (“If I Once”)” Play-N-Skillz Featuring Frankie J And Wisin & Leslie Grace or Becky G & Kap G

Becky G has made her love and admiration of Selena Quintanilla Perez very known. The Tejana is a major inspiration for the Chicana, so it’s perfect that Becky got on the collaborative cover of the Selena classic, “Si Una Vez,” with Play-N-Skillz, Frankie J, and Kap G. Her version was the Spanglish one, once again putting Becky G front and center in a song catering to both the English and Spanish markets.

“Mayores,” Ft. Bad Bunny

“Mayores” is another song that helped Becky G to blow up as an artist. The song, released in 2017, features Bad Bunny, who by his inclusion on a song automatically sends it into the stratosphere. It is one of several songs by Becky G to make it into Billboard’s Hot 100 chart.

“Sin Pijama,” with Natti Natasha

The song “Sin Pijama,” a collaboration between Becky G and Natti Natasha blew up when it was released last year. “Lost in the Middle of Nowhere,” Kane Brown Ft. Becky G

Some of the best collabs take artists from two (or more) different genres and bring them together to create something amazing and new. This is the case with Becky G’s hit song with country singer Kane Brown called “Lost in the Middle of Nowhere.” In true Becky G form, there is both an English and Spanish Remix version of the jam.

“A Whole New World (“Un mundo ideal”),” Becky G and Zayn Malik

Another major achievement for singers is getting the opportunity to sing a Disney film song. Becky G joined the ranks of Christina Aguilera, Celine Dion, and Idina Menzel when she teamed up with ZAYN to sing an updated version of the iconic Disney jam from Aladdin, “A Whole New World (“Un mundo ideal”).” And of course, Becky G reps for the Latinx by singing her lyrics in Spanish.

“Chicken Noodle Soup,” J-Hope Ft. Becky G

First a hit song by Webstar, featuring Young B and the Voice of Harlem (and later a remix with Trina and Rihanna), “Chicken Noodle Soup” got a revival this year through K-Pop rapper, and member of BTS J-Hope and Becky G. The added bonus of this cool collab is that the song is trilingual — in Korean, Spanish, and English!
