It’s Hispanic Heritage Month, and in celebration, we are going to take a look at the national symbols of seven Latino countries. Because learning is lifelong, no cierto?

Mexico

National Motto: La Patria es Primero (The Fatherland is First)

National Bird: Golden Eagle (many believe it is the Crested Caracara)

National Animal: Golden Eagle, Jaguar (national mammal), Xoloitzcuintli (national dog), Grasshopper (national arthropod), Vaquita (national marine mammal)

National Flower: Dahlia pinnata

National Tree: Cypress (Ahuehuete)
