Celebrate National Pisco Sour Day With These 9 Delicious Recipes
It’s February 2nd and you know what that means… Groundhog Day! Just kidding
It’s February 2nd and you know what that means… Groundhog Day! Just kidding. Today is actually National Pisco Sour Day, which is definitely a much bigger cause to celebrate than watching some little creature predict whether or not there are more days of winter. Instead of looking outside at the falling snow, climb back onto your snuggly couch, wrap yourself in a blanket and say CHEERS with one of these nine Pisco Sour cocktails.
Sure, you love sangria too but today it’s all about the classic Peruvian boozy drink that is made with pisco (a type of brandy produced in the winemaking regions of Peru and Chile) as a base and uses traditional sour cocktail flavors to bring out an incredible taste. Although this typically means lemon or lime juice and a sweetener (such as Triple Sec, simple syrup, or grenadine), the Peruvian Pisco Sour typically has freshly squeezed lime juice, syrup, ice, egg white, and Angostura bitters. Not sure about the portions, though? Well, we’ve got a classic recipe and some unique variations to get you started. Drink up!
