(Ulta reviews)

“The orange blush looks great on really deep skin tones and the darker shade is an amazing contour shade for deep skin tones. Worth every penny!”

“This palette — these colors are everything. Perfect for medium to deep skintones”

“This is a very pigmented blush & highlight palette for WOC. It has a nice range of colors but be careful how much product you pick up.”

Benetint Cheek & Lip Stain, by Benefit Cosmetics

https://www.instagram.com/p/BxF_zJJjnm9/

I personally use Benetint on an almost daily basis, and it adds a rosy flush that makes me immediately look healthier and more rested. I also add a bit to my lips to add some color to my lip balm.

(Ulta reviews)

“I run, walk, hike, bike, etc. often. I also live in Texas, where it’s humid, so I don’t like wearing much makeup… Only mascara, concealer, & the magical Benetint! It stays put ALL DAY LONG & looks natural. I’m Native American, so my skin tone is medium/olive. The Benetint is the perfect color for me. I think it’s a good color for just about every skin tone, tho. BTW it smells pretty, like roses. I’ve used this product for about five years now.”

“Gives a natural flush on cheeks. I have light to medium skin tone. I first brush it on the cheeks and smooth out with a sponge. I don’t break out from it.”

“Perfect for those days when you don’t really want to wear makeup but still want a natural umph to your face”

Milk Makeup Lip and Cheek, in Perk

Makeup products that do double duty mean two products for the price of one, no worries about colors complementing each other, less space being taken up in your vanity and travel makeup case, and total easiness. Milk Makeup’s Lip + Cheek is a perfect example of one stick that will add a flush to several parts of your face. Their Perk hue is a coral that will look fab on warm skin tones.

(Sephora reviews)

“I travel lots with my job so anything that does “multiple duties” is a plus — less to carry and get through TSA. (This doesn’t count as a “liquid.”) Bought in “Perk” which is a sheer natural peach flush on both lips and cheeks. It’s not at all orangey, as are some peaches and corals. It applies smoothly and evenly and is very moisturizing, without being greasy looking. It’s a little matte for my liking on the lips, as I prefer a high gloss shine so I just apply a clear gloss over. This is my very first, but not last, purchase from this new CRUELTY-FREE brand.”

“This product renewed my belief I could actually use blush on my skin tone. Most blushes I have tried, immediately disappear. The pigment does not show well on my skin for some reason, but this is beautiful. It leaves a nice, natural glow that I love as I do not wear a lot of makeup and prefer more of a natural look. I set it with a translucent powder after applying straight from the tube and then gently blending with my beauty blender. Have also used it as an eyeshadow and that looks gorgeous as well. I don’t prefer to use it on my lips as it doesn’t stay and it feels funny. Great product.”

Besame Cosmetics Apricot Rouge

https://www.instagram.com/p/Bw91PnCASsJ/

Besame Cosmetics is the go-to place for finding authentic makeup products and exact colors from your favorite decades of yesteryear. Another warm-toned blush that looks great on is their 1938 – Apricot Cream Rouge.

(Besame Cosmetics reviews)

“This is my second purchase of apricot rouge. This color is good for my skin tone. Looks natural and what I love about it is, it’s not a powder so it blends very well on my skin. Love the packaging too..”

“It gave me a nice soft touch of color that is easily buildable and not a bright orange against the skin but a nice peach, which works well because I am dark skinned with yellow undertones. I applied it using my finger and it did the job just fine. 10/10 would recommend. Although it does take a small amount of effort to pry of the lid.”

“If you’re looking for a flushed, orange-like tint for your skin tone. This one nails it!”

Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Match Stix Shimmer Skinstick, in Unicorn

https://www.instagram.com/p/Br5iUHAHlvH/

If you’re looking for a blush with luminous shimmer, Rih Rih’s got you with her Fenty Beauty by Rihanna Match Stix Shimmer Skinstick. There are 10 great shades, but their Unicorn is a fun platinum lilac that looks dreamy and futuristic, while also giving off retro vibes.

“‘I like to look at these Shimmer Skinsticks like I look at my clothes in the closet. Am I doing fun? Am I doing alien? Am I doing weird? Am I doing sexy? Am I doing extra? Am I doing girl next door? You choose. The point is, there are so many and they’re so fun. You can just collect them, magnetize them, and use them as you please, depending on your mood, your outfit, and where you’re going, the occasion.’— Rihanna, Brand Founder”

(Sephora reviews)

“I have several of these shimmer sticks and I Loooove them! You can swipe your cheek and buff it out with one of her brushes. The colors are very fun and vibrant. I highly recommend these because I’ve used them so much to where I hardly use my other highlighters and blushes #oops.”

“I swatched starstruck, confetti, and unicorn. starstruck was a nice pinky fine shimmer. Confetti was so beautifully extra; holographic with chunkier blue pink glitter. Unicorn was the winner for me, it has a fine very light violet shimmer and left a light purple pigment when the light wasn’t reflecting on it. I thought unicorn would be more extreme vs confetti, but unicorn is actually a very tame wearable highlight. Confetti I would only wear on a night out. I’m a big fan of stick highlight, I feel it lasts longer than powder.”

NARS Blush, in Orgasm

NARS Orgasm blush is such a cult classic that adds a beautiful flush to the cheeks (peachy pink with gold shimmer), that the company decided to expand the color to other products, including a lip tint, lip balm, loose powder, and palette.

(Ulta review)

“Love love love!!! Gives you the perfect amount of pinky peach glow. There is a reason it’s named orgasm. Is there anything more to say?”

Milani Cosmetics Baked Blush, in Luminoso

Not all top blushes have to be on the pricey side. Just take Milani’s Baked Blush for example. It appears on many best blushes lists, and it retails for under $8! There are four colors to choose from, but a favorite is the warm Luminoso.

(Ulta reviews)

“I decided to try this because I had heard wonderful things about it and that Luminoso is a dupe for NARS Orgasm. It is beautifully pigmented and would be pretty on any skin tone. I own the NARS, and I would say that Luminoso is a bit more peachy. I actually like it more! (And if you’ve looked at the price tag on the NARS, it is definitely worth a try!) It doesn’t take much to get the look you’re going for, but at the same time, it’s not a blush that is so heavily pigmented that it’s easy to go heavy handed. Very nice, and the price is unbeatable.”

“I got shade Luminoso and it is sooo pretty on the skin. It doesn’t go on blotchy like some of the other drugstore blushes. It goes on really smooth and blends really nice. Has a slight shimmer but not too overpowering. Gives a really nice glow. Similar to the Milani baked bronzer. I definitely recommend this to anyone!!!!!!”

MAC Extra Dimension Blush, in Hushed Tone

You can count on MAC to come through with beautifully rich, pigmented colors. Their Extra Dimension Blush is a noted fave, and Hushed Tone (a neutralized peach pink, or warm copper) has been named a must-have color.

(Ulta reviews)

“This blush goes on smoothly, not shimmery, true to color and lasts all day/evening.”

“I am very picky when it comes to blush. However, this blush is perfect! It’s long-lasting, vibrant and also works as a high lighter. Great for everyday use and I apply a bit more for a night look.”

Becca Cosmetics Shimmering Skin Perfector Luminous Blush, in Blushed Copper

https://www.instagram.com/p/BvzsYj0l_vF/

Another blush that appears on best-blushes lists is Becca Cosmetics’ Shimmering Skin Perfector Luminous Blush. Their Blushed Copper color looks so pretty, natural, and summery on different skin tones.

(Ulta reviews)

“I’ve read the reviews and don’t see any on the blushed copper shade. I purchased this a while ago and I love it so much! I am medium complexion. All I do is lightly tap my brush into the pan and sweep it across my cheeks, a little goes a longgg way. It looks intimidating and dark in the picture but it’s a beautiful peachy/bronze color! It’s a perfect everyday summer blush especially when you have a little tan going on.”

“Love Becca Blushes! They are my favorite! A healthy glow is how I would describe them!”

Tarte Cosmetics Amazonian 12-Hour Blush, in Dollface

We’ve featured a lot of great, peachy/coppery warm blushes, but we also had to include some wonderful rosy options. Like Tarte Cosmetics’ Amazonian 12-Hour Blush, in Dollface. Not only does this product last half the day, but it also offers the prettiest flush, in a variety of colors, like Dollface, a matte light pink.

(Ulta reviews)

“Bronzey, warm-toned blushes are so in right now, I have had a devil of a time finding a nice, neutral pink. This one is gorgeous and the formula is buildable, silky and very long-lasting. It is matte but not chalky. I have the Tarte gel blush too, but this one goes on & blends much more easily. I’m fifty-one, so this is good for mature skin.”

“My absolute OG holy grail for blush. Nothing beats the staying power of this. Exposed is my favorite shade. Tarte got this formula very, very right.”

Stila Cosmetics Convertible Blush, in Camellia

Stila Cosmetics’ Convertible Blush has been a beauty great for a while. Peony and Poppy are much-loved colors, but we had to shout out Camellia, especially when we found out Salma Hayek wore the peachy brown blush to this year’s Met Gala.

(Ulta review)

“I have this in Camellia, Poppy, and Peony, and they are beautiful! Camellia is the perfect nude-tan-neutral color (not shimmery at all!) for a natural look. Poppy is a warm red that can be layered up for cherry-colored lips and looks great for a flushed cheek. Peony is a pretty soft pink that looks like a rosy version of Camellia. A lovely everyday natural dusty pink. I love to do the monochromatic look, and these blushes give the perfect flush of color to cheeks and lips. For lips, I would recommend wearing a sheer, light layer of balm before applying as it can be drying if lips are not moisturized.”

NUDESTIX Intense Matte Lip + Cheek Pencil, in Royal

Take, for instance, NUDESTIX’s Intense Matte Lip + Cheek Pencil in Royal. You get an intense pop of red on the lips and can add that rosy blush to your cheeks as well, for a goof-proof dose of glam.

(Ulta reviews)

“This is the ultimate red lipstick with a velvety matte finish. xo”

“It’s a matte lipstick and it doesn’t dry out my lips which is a huuuge plus for me. I love that it comes with is own sharpner. I put a gloss over this and it looks great! I would definitely recommend this brand to my friends.”

Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to Chic Swish & Pop Blush, in Pillow Talk

https://www.instagram.com/p/BxFTP12H0lq/

Charlotte Tilbury’s Pillow Talk lipstick proved to be a cult classic, and the brand took the beautiful rosy nude color to other products, like their best-selling palette and best-selling Cheek to Chic Blush. This blush does double duty: you have both a rosy and champagne-hued blush that work together to provide both rosiness and glow.

(Charlotte Tilbury reviews)

“This is such a beautiful cheek color. I have light-medium skin tone and the color gives a healthy pinky tone to my cheeks. I typically swirl my brush into the pan, but it also looks really nice to layer the middle highlighter shade on the high points of the cheeks, and use the darker tone as the blush color. Both ways look super pretty.”

“Looking at pre-launch photos, I was worried that this blush would be too dark for my fair skin. That worry was unfounded — it is absolutely gorgeous and so flattering. For reference, I’m a CT Magic Foundation in Shade 2. It is buildable but most of all, it gives a healthy blush/glow from within look without being glittery. Note for those that don’t want “glowy” — this imparts quite a glow and, as mentioned by Wayne Goss in a previous review, there is no need for highlighter when wearing this blush. Warms up the face. Makes you look pretty. Highly recommended.”

“I am absolutely in love with the Berry Adore. For black women or darker skinned, this is the only blush you should get.”

“I have a tan complexion so these are great for me at the moment, if you’re fair and want to try these blushes I recommend sheering the color out on your wrist before swiping on the face, you can build up the color to a personalized intensity”

You want your blush to work its hardest to give you a gorgeous flush and lit-from-within glow. Hourglass’ Ambient Lighting Blush does just that, with “a groundbreaking hybrid that combines the customized lighting effects of Ambient Lighting Powder or Strobe Powder with a spectrum of breathtakingly modern hues.” Luminous Flush, a champagne rose fused with Luminous Light, a is a noted fave.

(Sephora review)

“Did you ever have a daydream that your skin looked completely amazing with a luminous aura and an alluring glow that was as if it was lit from within? Yes? Me too! However, no product could meet my lucid dream-like expectations. And then Hourglass created this “must have” blush. (Of course, the packaging is divinely glamorous too.) I bought Luminous Flush and it gives me a very natural golden rose glow. My skin is quite fair. Nevertheless, I found this product has great staying power, pigment, and a beautiful radiance that gives my skin a classic, elegant yet healthy appearance. I absolutely LOVE it!”

The best blushes are foolproof and make adding a wash of color to your cheeks fast and easy. Glossier’s Cloud Paint comes in a handy tube, and all you do is squeeze some out and apply to your cheeks. The sheer and buildable formula is available in six colors, but their Puff is the perfect girly pinky pink that looks fab on a variety of skin tones.

(Glossier reviews)

“A tiny little dot and your cheeks are good to go, making you look lively and youthful. I just love the texture and the ease with which it blends and settles into my skin, avoiding that powdery & cakey look.”

“I don’t know where to start. this blush is insane. I have severe anemia so my skin is very dull and almost grey some days. I have 3 of these (dusk, puff, and beam) and they have transformed how I look. I actually look healthy and glowy, like I’ve just been to the gym. They last a long time if you set them (I use Wowder) and I never go anywhere without having at least one. the packaging is adorable as well. Overall my favorite product in my makeup bag and I’m desperate to try the other colors, storm looks amazing!” :))

We all want that sweet, romantic flush of a blushing bride, and Tarte Cosmetics answered the call. Their Blushing Bride cheek stain is a rosy pink that lasts 12 hours and is easy to apply. The cheek stains appear to have been discontinued, but you can still grab this color at the Tarte website.

(Tarte reviews)

“I’ve had mine for about 6 years and finally got to the end of the stick. How disappointing to learn that I can’t buy another one. It was my favorite blush. Please bring this back!”

NARS Exposed Cheek Palette

https://www.instagram.com/p/Bt2OKxNAQbM/

It’s safe to say that NARS knows what they’re doing when it comes to amazing blushes. They consistently hit it out of the park with their gorgeous options, like their Exposed Cheek Palette. It contains six colors that look great on a variety of skin tones:

– Tell All (pearlescent golden pink)
– Now Or Never (satin terracotta)
– Give It Away (satin nude)
– Make You Mine (satin peach)
– Come Hither (satin watermelon)
– New Fling (satin fuchsia)

(Ulta reviews)

“Okay, so first off this product is like a watercolor. It’s sheer and you can build it up but you’re never going to look like you used too much. It’s pigmented enough. I always am heavy handed with my blushes and I love that with this I can know I’m not going overboard. The highlight, in particular, is stunning! This palette doesn’t swatch great but on the face I love it. I’m a solid medium skin tone, medium tan and I think I’m probably the darkest you could get away with to make this work. If you want it, I say go for it and return it if it doesn’t work out. I love it!”

“I LOVE this palette! I use it every day. I work 9 to 10-hour shifts and by the end of the day, my blush and highlight are still very visible. So happy I bought this.”

(Nordstrom reviews)

“I apply this with a brush that is like a full powder brush but with a flattish top. Goes on beautifully, blends well and looks natural. It seems that this product is to be discontinued. Sorry to hear it.”

“I love my Chanel cream blushes, I have almost all of them. The color has great pigment but is light, it wears well and last all day and isn’t greasy. This is a great product.”

NYX Professional Makeup High Definition Blush, in Taupe

If you want a bit of color on your cheeks, but nothing too warm or cool, or with an obvious color (especially when you are wearing neutral colors on your eyes and/or lips), NYX’s Taupe blush could be your go-to. The best-selling product comes in a variety of shades and also wins for its frugal price — $6.50.

(NYX review)

“I bought Taupe as a backup/dupe for a discontinued product in my collection, and it is exactly the same! Good crease shade and contour for fair, neutral-cool skin like my own. A lot of contour shades on the market today are one-size-fits-all, medium warm tan colors that will not work for everyone. I know this is listed as a blush but you can use it anywhere, haha. So glad I got this. Blends out nicely, and you only have to tap your brush in the pan once or twice to get plenty of pigment.”

(Ulta reviews)

“Love this blush!! Was weary at first because of the kickback on the pan~ but something about it is just Perfection! It blends effortlessly on top of my foundation and smooths out my skin too. It’s not a matte blush and does have a sheen…but nothing insane. Perfect sun-kissed glow.”

https://www.instagram.com/p/BZ4LJSpAhuJ/

We already mentioned Fenty Beauty’s Match Stix Shimmer Skinstix, in Unicorn, but we also had to shout out their popular color, Yacht Life. A “glimmering peach-pink,” it gives the right amount of warm, healthy blush to skin.

(Sephora review)

“I LOVE Yacht Lyfe! I use this as a highlighter on my tan skin. When I blend it out, it looks more like rose gold and reflects golden peach tones. If you build it up directly on the skin without blending, it has a soft natural pink tone (similar to NARS Orgasm). It’s lightly creamy and dries to a powder finish that makes a soft shimmery glow. I needed a compact highlighter to bring on-the-go and this is perfect! I just blend it out with my fingers and bam! Easy.”

NARS Blush, in Exhibit A

Another NARS blush that is a powerhouse in a compact is their Exhibit A color. Described as a “brilliant red,” a little gives a flush, but it’s buildable if you want a bolder look (all the way to an actual red). It’s a color that looks striking and retro chic on so many skin tones.

Glossier Cloud Paint, in Dusk

Sometimes, you don’t want your blush to be rosy or peachy. Glossier’s Cloud Paint in Dusk is a “brownish nude” that adds a natural warm tint to various skin tones. Users have noted that it can also be built up to serve double duty as a bronzer.

(Glossier review)

“I’ve had this product for about ten minutes, and I literally raced to my phone to leave a review. I don’t think I’ve left one makeup review in my life before now. This product is everything it claims to be- seamless, buildable, sheer. Dusk is perfect as a bronzer. It adds just the perfect pinch of color and doesn’t even look like I’m wearing makeup. I will be buying more, and I will be buying them as presents this year. The jury’s still out on whether it has staying power, but I use finishing powder so I’m really not concerned.”

e.l.f. Powder Blush Palette, in Dark

The final great blush to buy that we are going to feature on this list is e.l.f’s Powder Blush Palette, available in Dark and Light. Each palette contains four beautiful colors that are great for mixing and matching. It’s also cruelty-free and vegan!

(Ulta reviews)

“This blush is BOMB! Better than Colourpop, and Tarte blushes for hardly any money. I have the dark palette because I have medium skin tone and the pigmentation is fantastic. I use the top left shade every day. The bottom left has some shimmer and the bottom right berry color is gorgeous but I can only wear it with a tan. Don’t care for the top right shade. So impressed with this palette!”

“I have purchased the dark one, I am fairer but I knew that the colors in the light palette wouldn’t compliment me. I love the different options you have. I use it on a regular basis.”
