Getting Your Glow Up With the Full Moon in Leo

January is almost officially in the books. We started the new year with a Full Moon / Super Moon in Cancer and we close it out with a Full Moon / Lunar Eclipse in Leo. This month we’ve gone from the earthy energy of Capricorn to the inquisitive energy of Aquarius.

Capricorn energy is all about nurturing growth in a responsible way. Air energy is all about thinking and being nonconventional. So with this rare and potent Full Moon, let your mind lead the way.

This month’s second full moon is also a Super Blood Blue Moon Eclipse, in the fire sign of Leo, which is a great energy to move forward with the “new year, new me” motto of 2018.

This is not your typical full moon eclipse. This is a rare Super Blood Blue Moon Eclipse, with the last one happening 36 years ago. As with all full moons, this one is linked to the New Moon from the same sign six months prior. Therefore, this week’s full moon in Leo is the culmination of the new moon eclipse from last summer.

A great way to think of this is by looking at the chapters of a book. The last six months were one chapter which is now coming to a close. What lessons have you learned since August 2017?

A full moon is a great time to release what is no longer working for you. This could be a job, relationship, or project. In doing so, you clear space in your life for something better. So ask yourself: “What do I want to bring into my life?”

Leo is ruled by the Sun. This is a sign full of creativity, warmth, and passion. In the wild, the lion is king of the jungle. Their authority, confidence, and bravado often goes unrivaled. How can you harness that energy in your life? What areas of your life do you need the sun to illuminate so that you can shine as the best version of yourself?

If you struggle with confidence, now would be a great time to take a class on public speaking, negotiating, and/or networking.

The full moon in Leo will give you a chance to be honest with your intentions so that you can birth something new. A lion is not modest, nor are they shy. And the last time I checked, the sun doesn’t care if it blinds you. It will shine bright regardless.
