Two young girls were arrested yesterday for allegedly attempting to kill their classmates and drink their blood. This bizarre news comes from Bartow, Florida — a city about three hours east of Tampa — where the students from Bartow Middle School were taken in by police after they were caught with several knives.

The girls, ages 11 and 12, allegedly confessed to police that they planned to kill 15 people from their school and then drink their blood. Thankfully their plan was intercepted by school officials. When one of the girls didn’t show up to second period, the school notified the parent. The school then began to search for the girl and they located her in the bathroom with her friend. Police say they also found a goblet with them in the bathroom and suspect they were drinking alcohol.

“They noted that they wanted to kill at least 15 people and were waiting in the bathroom to find smaller kids that they could overpower to be their victims,” Bartow Police Chief Joe Hall said, according to an ABC News affiliate. “I believe that these two small children. I’m going to call them small children, they are only 11 and 12, seriously sat down and plotted to do bodily harm to another student at school.”

Police also located a message between the girls that read: “Today is health lessens thank Satan we’re doing this in a bit.”

The items they found on the girls included a butcher knife, scissors, a pizza cutter, a knife sharpener, and other knives. News reports say that the girls admitted to police that they were satan worshippers.

According to the arrest affidavit obtained by ABC News, the girls aim was to kill the students “in hopes it would make them worse sinners ensuring that after they committed suicide … (they) would go to hell so they could be with satan.”

Police also say that the parents had no knowledge about their children’s plans or that they worshipped satan.

Bartow Police Chief Joe Hall released the following statement to parents of Bartow Schools:

“I understand that the recent news of a plot to kill students at Bartow Middle School is troubling. In fact, it shook me to my core when I was notified of it. However, I want to make it clear that your children are our most precious citizens here in the City and we do everything we can, every single day to make sure our children are safe. We work very closely with the Polk County School Board and I want to assure you that I will do everything in my power to ensure safety,” and concluded by saying, “Remember, if you see something, say something. It worked in this incident.”
