This Is Why Reproductive Fashion Is the Most Feminist Style Ever
Have you heard of reproductive fashion? Yes, it’s a real thing and it’s everywhere
Have you heard of reproductive fashion? Yes, it’s a real thing and it’s everywhere. My friend alerted me to an amazing Instagram that showed beautiful red sequins in the form of ovaries on top of blue jeans.

The first thing I said: “I hope mine look like that.” And then it sort of hit me, I never really thought of my reproductive organs as beautiful. For me, my reproductive organs have been just that, organs, nothing more, nothing less. But that kind of mentality is so sad. Nothing about me or my insides should be viewed as nothing short of spectacular. They serve an incredible function. They are life lines. And I’m starting to be extremely empowered by them, so much so that after I saw the IG above, I searched the Internet for more reproductive fashion, and boy did I find some amazing looks.
“The rise of the women’s empowerment movement in the fashion world is by now a well-known thing,” So Catchy writes. “From valuing diversity more and making it increasingly visible, to the acclamation for minorities that had never before been represented, or present even, in the fashion industry.”
The most amazing thing about being a feminist is that there’s not one way to express that through fashion. Whatever your fashion sense is, whether it’s a tight dress or jeans and a t-shirt, it’s all about your frame of mind and not what others think.
For me, wearing a shirt or skirt that shows an illustration of my ovaries is my way of being playful and putting my beliefs out there for the world to see whether they like it or not.
