No, this is not an article about cats. If I’m being 100% honest with my readers, I’m TERRIFIED of those creatures. Luckily for me, I’m not on a mission to show you the cutest cats but instead the endless styles for kitten-heels. Hopefully you’re not looking around nervously wondering what “kitten-heels” mean but just in case you are—kitten-heels are shoes with a small slender heel, typically between 1 and 2 inches in height. You’ve probably seen all the doñas wearing them but never thought to grab a pair for yourself.
Well, if you’re anything like me, you strive to stay on top of today’s hottest trends. Although sometimes bold, I try to play around with each new “trend” and make it my own. This was a trend that I found particularly difficult. I’ve seen them for decades in my mom’s closet (and made fun of her for them too!). But they’ve made a comeback these past couple of months and owning a pair is a must. I started off slow with some kitten heel booties and recently worked my way up to slingbacks. It’s a process believe it or not, especially if you’re not a huge fashion risk-taker.
That being said, I have a lot to thank Instagram for. The app serves as my endless #moodboard and source of #inspo. I sit on the train and scroll for hours (or as long as my cellular service permits) to find inspiration on how to style certain trends, kitten heels being no different.
