In honor of Pride Month, Hennessy Carolina — Cardi B‘s younger sister — made a huge announcement on Instagram. While Hennessy had been open about her bi-sexuality before, particularly in her Paper magazine interview, this is the first time she went open with it on Instagram.

“If you can’t accept the B In (L)LGBTQ..(L)lesbian(G)ay(B)BISEXUAL(T)ransexual(Q)ueer, then please don’t speak up for the community if you can’t fully understand ALL of us!” She goes on to say: ” Bisexual means you’re attracted to both genders. No matter what’s the status of the relationship or what you chose to do with that person … If a woman like to be in a relationship with a man but like to enjoy her sexual desire with a woman from time to time she can still considers herself to be a BISEXUAL! same goes for men….. and please if your still in your confused stage, please don’t talk for the whole community until you can fully comprehend ALL of us! We don’t like to be the judge or to be labeled! We just want be excepted for who we are… Love is love! That being said HAPPY GAY PRIDE MONTH FROM ME AND MY WIFE?️‍??️‍??️‍??️‍?❤?????.”

Hennessy shared what it was like to come out as bisexual to her family and she said it while it wasn’t easy, they have since come around.

“It was kind of hard because my mom is Caribbean and she didn’t really accept it at first,” Hennessy told Paper magazine. “It was really hard because growing up people always made it seem like you have to be with a man. But God wouldn’t want people to not love each other. So why do I have to listen to what other people want? Like why would God be afraid that two people of the same gender love each other? Why do I have to be with a man because you feel like that’s what I’m supposed to do? That’s not what my body wants. That’s not what my heart wants. That’s not my happiness. I taught my family and they actually became accepting because I sat them down. I spoke to them, and told them what it is and how life works.”

Even her big sis gave her a proud shout out on Twitter.

Now that is awesome.

Happy Pride everyone!
