There are so many important achievements and accomplishments in American pop culture that have come from Latinxs. Many we know about, but there are several other instances that have been obscured in favor of more “mainstream” talent. It’s important for us to know how far we have come, and continue to keep making moves in order to see ourselves represented in fields including film and television, music, and radio. If Latinxs are a majority in California, we should see much more of our faces and narratives on both the small and silver screens.
A major honor for celebs who have created unforgettable work in Hollywood is to earn a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Their name gets enshrined in a star for generation after generation to see, in perpetuity, long after they are physically gone. To celebrate the successful work of Latinxs in Hollywood, we wanted to share 44 artists who have received a star on the Walk of Fame, and where you can visit each star.
