Singer Becky G has been adding to her resume this year first with the release of her makeup line Tresluce Beauty and now she’s got a new show coming up. Face to Face with Becky G  on Facebook Watch stars the global superstar who will invite her favorite artists, icons and friends to join her for candid conversations. No word yet on guests or specific topics but it sounds like it will be centered on the Latinx community much like Red Table Talk: The Estefans, also on Facebook Watch. During the lockdown, she hosted and produced the “En La Sala” podcast with Amazon Music – live from her living room and with every episode she donated  $10K to a charity and guests included J Balvin who spoke about mental health. Now it looks like this new show carries the same intention of tackling important but not often talked about topics in the Latinx community.

“Staying connected to mi gente and our cultures is incredibly important to me. My new talk show on Facebook Watch will take this engagement to a whole new level – where we’ll discuss the issues that really matter to us and our communities, have great guests and of course, invite everyone to the conversation,” Becky said in a statement.

Culture is also front and center in her makeup line, Tresluce, inspired by her Mexican roots and featuring ingredients from Mexico like blue agave. The design of the packaging, a third eye graphic with the agave plant, is artwork by Mexican artist Monica Loya. Becky recently made an appearance on Red Table Talk: The Estefans talking about sex, sexism, and love along with singer Anitta. Becky talked about the importance of representation and how she’s dedicated to empowering Latinas through her own work

“I don’t wanna just be the Latina face that checks a box for a bigger corporate company that wants to be ‘diverse,’ I actually think it’s important for us to see ourselves in power positions and be the owners of the brand and say…I’m gonna hire a Latina social brand manager, I’m gonna have a Latina brand partner…” – Becky G said.  “For me, I want to build platforms where I can empower more women and share the light because we’re so much more impactful when we come together.”

Face to Face with Becky G, which she also executive produces through her B Yourself Productions, will premiere in November on Facebook Watch.
