J.Lo and A.Rod Have Beautifully Mastered the Skill of Co-Parenting
Healthy co-parenting isn’t easy

Healthy co-parenting isn’t easy. What works for one family may not work for another. Either way, co-parenting is something both parties should attempt in some way or another. Jennifer Lopez is showing the world what good co-parenting looks like, even though the public knows it hasn’t always looked this good.
The Lopez family, along with the Rodriguez clan and his ex-wife showed up to support their eldest daughter 14-year-old Natasha Alexander who just graduated from middle school. The picture, posted on Instagram, showed J.Lo, her children, A.Rod, his two girls, his ex-wife, Cynthia Scurtis, and an unknown man that could be Scurtis’ partner. The entire group was all smiles, which sets such a good example for the children.
People on social media praised the family for showing a healthy example of co-parenting, with one person saying, “I hope guys realize what it does to your kid’s hearts knowing their parents can be civil and even take family pictures together. I wish my parents would have done that for me growing up. Co-parenting at its finest. Kudos to you all. And congrats to your baby girl.”
It wasn’t always this healthy between J.Lo, A.Rod, and his ex-wife, or at least that’s what the tabloids would make you think. Several months back during court proceedings between Scurtis and Rodriguez, a couple of tabloids reported that Lopez got involved (a little too much), and that caused tension.
Scurtis commented by saying she preferred to stay out of Rodriguez’s personal dating life.
“I try very hard to stay uninvolved,” she told The New York Post last year. “The subject [of Lopez] is sensitive and better left not commented on in any way.” But she did add, “All I can tell you, there’s been a shift, and I’m not sure what to attribute it to. Alex has dated some wonderful women since our divorce, many of whom have had positive relationships with our children. Alex and I have worked well, trying to create a stable environment for our daughters, and there has never been an issue. Until now.”
Whatever happened between both parties last year, seems to be over now, and that’s a good thing. This week’s picture of the two families, co-parenting (and co-existing) is lovely. Lopez and Rodriguez are doing the same healthy co-parenting with Marc Anthony. Just last week, Marc Anthony was at his kid’s school function, and he was seated right next to A.Rod, and the two were having a blast.
Perhaps J.Lo and friend Kourtney Kardashian should write a book on co-parenting because this money venture would do a lot of families a lot of good.
