But Pitbull truly stole the night with his debut performance with Fifth Harmony and his moving acceptance speech for the first ever Dick Clark Achievement Award presented to him by his friend Enrique Iglesias. The award was created to recognize Latin artists that inspire us with their dedication to music and to helping those in need.

Pitbull has been an outspoken advocate in the mobilization to help Puerto Rico, quietly transporting cancer patients from the Puerto Rico to Miami on his private jet so they could get treatment. He’s also a supporter of charities like: Cellphones for Soldiers, City of Hope, Pencils of Promise, Save The Music Foundation, STOMP Out Bullying, World Vision. He also opened a charter school SLAM or Sports Leadership and Management Academy in Miami in 2013.
As if we needed another reason to love Mr. Worldwide, right after he gave his acceptance speech one of the women on the cleaning crew approached him and asked if she could take a photo with the star, to which he reportedly said “mamita aquí todo lo que quieres.” He took a photo with her and then the rest of the janitorial and backstage crews began taking photos with him.
So picture this – in the middle of all of the craziness surrounded by some of the biggest names in Latin Music – Pitbull walked around out hugging and talking to the people who are usually invisible, proving to us all that the man practices what he says and totally deserved that award!
