Like many of us, Salma Hayek knows what it’s like to be busy. She’s a mom, an in-demand movie star, philanthropist, and has her own makeup company, Nuance by Salma Hayek. At 50, she’s thrilled to be so busy. “This is the best time of my life,” she recently told NPR. Her stamina and ability to be present for all life’s demands can be credited to how well Hayek takes care of herself, and now, she’s bringing her healthy lifestyle to the masses in her new business venture as co-creator of Juice Generation’s new smoothie subscription service.

The service, called Blend It Yourself, allows customers to purchase the exact ingredients for smoothie, already prepped and selected by Juice Generation. Once received, all the customer has to do is pop their selection in a blender and prepare for refreshing deliciousness. The smoothies come in five categories: beauty, protein, greens, acai bowls, and superfruits.

In a press release about her collaboration with Juice Generation, Hayek shared that she’s “been using these recipes myself for years (mostly at home, slathering on BIY face masks with my daughter, or serving up smoothies to friends).” That’s right, the smoothies in the beauty category also double as a Hayek-approved face mask. Yes, please!

For Hayek, this endeavor is also about spreading habits she’s seen to be beneficial in her own life. I “have truly come to believe that beauty is born when we nourish our bodies with ingredients found in nature.”

When it comes to taking health and beauty advice, Hayek is definitely someone who has got my undivided attention. The Blend It Yourself website launches today, June 12 and the first batches are expected to ship June 17.
