From Coach Model and Now Handbag Designer, Selena Gomez Is Calling the Shots
Selena Gomez is now a certified handbag designer
Selena Gomez is now a certified handbag designer. The actress, who’s just lined up a new movie directed by Woody Allen, and has been the face of Coach since the end of last year was asked to design her very own signature purse.
Gomez collaborated with Coach creative director Stuart Vevers to come up with an original style that is still very much a Coach bag but is young and fun just like the singer. Here’s the finished product.
It’s called the Selena Grace bag, and before you go thinking Grace is her middle name it’s not, her middle name is Marie. Although she has played a character named Grace…hmm. Maybe it’s her altar ego? Like Sasha Fierce? Who knows!
“I’m very excited for everyone to finally see the design Stuart and I worked on together,” Selena said according to E! News. “I can’t wait to carry it — it’s totally versatile, perfect to wear day-to-night and it goes with everything.”
Indeed it does, especially because it comes in different colors!
Here’s my personal favorite.
The bag also comes in off-white, and they all cost $395. Yeah, it’s a lot. So, if the price is too steep for you, please consider other CoachxSelena accessories including a Selena Heart Bag Charm that costs $50, a $50, Selena Star Bag Charm also $50, a Selena Mini Skinny (a change wallet) that’s $55, or a smaller purse, the Selena Wristlet that’s $150.
All the items will be available on September 1. Hardcore Selena Gomez fans will also have the chance to meet her at a Coach event taking place on Sept. 13 in New York City.
Fans are being asked to enter a contest for the chance at winning a Selena Grace bag, and possibly meeting Selena herself! Click here to enter.
