Ever since Yalitza Aparicio — star of Roma — appeared on the cover of Vogue Mexico, we were anticipating what she would wear at the 2019 Golden Globes. Because as you may know, that cover broke the internet, it was a huge deal and we’re sure designers were lining up to dress the 26-year-old star.

Fashion stylist, Sophie Lopez, has had the honor of dressing Aparicio for several red-carpet events and has been chronicling each amazing look. From dressing her in Valentino to Prabal Gurung.

For her big Golden Globe night, Lopez put her in a Miu Miu silver gown that had a “pleated layer over the sleek maxi dress and a subtle cutout,” Entertainment Tonight describes. She also had on Brian Atwood heels. “Cinderella on her way to the ball in Miu Miu,” Lopez captioned her Instagram.

“It feels amazing. This is a dream and I’m really happy to be here,” Aparicio told ET on the red carpet last night. “They are very happy and excited. They also tell me that they are living their dream through me,” and added that her mom would be watching the award show back home in Oaxaca to “see what happens.”

Well, what happened was amazing!

Alfonso Cuarón’s “Roma” took home Best Motion Picture, Foreign Language, and Best Director, Motion Picture. During his acceptance speech he thanked Aparicio and his home country of Mexico, of course.
