Life is about all about experiences. Luckily, I was able to experience the beautiful towns of Jackson and Alpine during my recent press trip to Wyoming, courtesy of the folks over at Chevrolet. Here is why you should include the Equality State (the first to grant women the right to vote!) on your list of places to visit.

To say Wyoming is beautiful would be an understatement. Like I said after taking this photo, it truly looks like a Bob Ross painting. It’s great to leave a congested big city, and see rolling hills, majestic mountains, and nature at its finest. During my stay in Jackson, I was able to handle whatever terrain that came my way in the 2019 Chevy Silverado. I drove in Alpine Wyoming, then hopped on over to Irwin, Idaho on a scenic and comfortable drive (which included WiFi, music streaming, tons of room, and the comfort of a car with the perks of a truck).

You Can Experience It’s History and Culture

The minute you step off the plane in Jackson, you realize you are in another world. The entire town looks like a cozy cabin, with its cowboy and native cultures on full display. In Wyoming, you can visit the Fort Laramie Historic Site, and take in the American Indian/Native American culture of the Northern Arapaho and Eastern Shoshone, on a tour at the Wind River Indian Reservation (among several other things to do).

It Makes for a Great Winter Trip

Jackson Hole is known as a major destination for skiers and snowboarders. Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and Snow King Mountain, and are just a couple of the resorts you can visit in the area. Can’t make it out there during the winter? Don’t worry—there are plenty of activities and adventures to be had year round on or near the mountain.

It Has Two National Parks!

That’s right. In Wyoming, you can see Old Faithful at Yellowstone National Park (the nation’s first national park!). You can also visit the Mammoth Hot Springs, Grand Canyon of Yellowstone, and several other attractions, while also getting near bears, bison, swans, wolves, and elk. Then you have the Grand Teton National Park, which you enter right when you land at Jackson Hole Airport! There, you can marvel at the mountains that make up the Teton Range, float down the Snake River, and just take in the scenery.
