Demi Lovato is officially out of rehab. This past July, the singer was hospitalized for drug overdose. Lovato who had been open about her drug addiction struggles and a 2018 relapse that happened a few months before being hospitalized, had been previously sober for six years. While there were a lot of updates and muddled facts regarding her overdose—at one point reports were claiming she overdosed on heroin—the truth is, that Lovato has currently been focused on healing and recovering.

After three months of rehab treatment, Lovato is now out. “She just got back to L.A. a couple days ago,” a source told People. “She seems to be doing well so far.” She was even publicly spotted in Los Angeles on Saturday night having dinner at Matsuhisa restaurant. According to TMZ she was spotted holding hands clothing designer Henry Levy. Lovato was seen smiling, laughing and in good spirits.

Twitter users also claim they saw Lovato at Universal Studio’s Halloween Horror Nights on Friday night. In fact, Lovato has been publicly spotted a few times since her mother, Dianna De La Garza shared her sober status.

Yes, she has 90 days and I couldn’t be more thankful or more proud of her because addiction being a disease, it’s work.” La Garza said during an appearance on Maria Menounos’ Sirius CM show last week.

Lovato who has received a ton of support from family, friends, and fans hasn’t made a public statement since her Instagram post on August 5 but we know it’s only a matter of time before she does.

Unfortunately, relapse is a very common thing in addiction recovery and for some addiction survivors it happens more than once. Lovato has been very transparent about her drug addiction struggles and suffering from bipolarity disorder and depression and despite the rough patch she might have experienced this summer, it looks like she’s determined to get better.

She’s working really hard on her sobriety, and we’re all so incredibly proud of her,” her younger half-sister Madison De La Garza recently said in an interview with the podcast Millennial Hollywood. “It’s been crazy for our family. It’s been a lot.”

We’re happy to hear that Lovato has been recovering and putting her health needs first. We believe in her!
