If you love Selena Quintanilla, you must be aware that Keke Palmer adores her just as much as we do. And when we say adore, we’re not exaggerating in the slightest. According to Palmer, host of ABC’s “Strahan, Sara and Keke,” her go-to Selena is song is “Amor Prohibido,” and we know this because she sings it all the time. During that same segment, Palmer’s Hustlers co-star Jennifer Lopez broke out in a duet Selena would be proud of.

Palmer was put on the spot and asked about her love of Selena in front of J.Lo, who iconically played Selena in the biopic film.

“You had a dream that you talked about, singing in front of Jennifer,” Haines said. Palmer said, laughingly, “No, don’t do me like that.” Strahan added, “It was a song from Selena.” Lopez asked Palmer, “Is your heart beating faster now?” Strahan goes on to say, “The planets have aligned,” and Haines agreed, “Let’s have our full-circle moment.”

First, Lopez wondered what song she would pick, but then added, “I think I know which one it’s gonna be.” Yes, we all know too! Check out Palmer going for it in the video below:

Later on Instagram, she posted the clip and said, “Maaaaaaaan I got to sing Amor Prohibido for my girl @jlo, and she joined in with me! ??❤️ A gag in a half honey! That movie was so special and still is. Long live Selena and all the hearts she touched.”

As we reported earlier this week, Lopez is riding high at the moment over receiving stellar reviews for her starring role in Hustlers, and who many say is deserving of an Oscar nomination. She even got emotional talking about it on a podcast with Hoda Kotb.

“I’ve been working so hard for so long, for my whole life, so it’s nice,” J.Lo told Kotb almost fighting back tears. The unstoppable force is also a contender for the 2020 Super Bowl Halftime Show.

And because we can never get enough off of Selena, or Palmer, or J.Lo, or other amazing Latina women in general — check out another duet with Palmer and fellow Selena fan, Adrienne Houghton singing “Amor Prohibido.”
