The weather is starting to warm up you probably want to spruce out your outdoor space a little bit, cause whether you have a small balcony or a huge yard, an entire winter season of rainy cold weather tends to take a toll. We’re all about to be spending lots more time outside grilling and chilling and you want your environment to reflect the beautiful, creative woman you are, right?

I spent a little under $300 to make my entire 400 sq foot patio look awesome, while even managing to preserve some space for my active toddler to run around. Here’s how I did it:wp_*posts

Spray Paint is Your Friend

Make spray paint your friend and you’ll never meet another ugly chair that you can’t fix right up. The mushroom color of these plastic chairs leaves, um, much to be desired. But snag a couple of bottles of spray paint (I used Rustoleum Painter’s Touch in Deep Blue, $4) and you’ll be able to transform any piece of plastic outdoor furniture into a masterpiece. At $13, these chairs are well worth the investment.

The gorgeous, vaguely tribal blue pattern on this umbrella would fit into a thousand different styles and gives you another chance to be bold with your color palette. Plus, you can angle it and it’s STILL just $90 at Target.

There are literally millions of choices for super affordable outdoor rugs that hold up well to the elements and can take some wear and tear. I’m partial to the geometric patterns of this lovely Lucia Ivory design and it’s available at Wayfair for just $46. They have a huge selection though, with some starting at just $15! At those prices you can even mix and match and go all Moroccan with your outdoor theme.

Happy styling!
