Becky G dominated 2021 with millions of Spotify streams and several chart topping hits including her latest song Fulanito with El Alfa. With her love for her culture and fans, Becky G is the ultimate poderosa. Not only is she paving the way for Latinas in the music industry, but she is an active voice for the entire Latinx community. She started Treslúce Beauty, a brand that celebrates her Mexican heritage and now hosts Face to Face with Becky G discussing social issues within the Latinx community. Earlier this year Becky G released her makeup line Tresluce Beauty celebrating her Mexican roots in both the design and literal ingredients. Since the initial launch the brand has already added new collections and products including blushes and liquid metallic eyeshadows. “Treslúce Beauty is all about the art of makeup and encouraging self-expression. But within that, I wanted to create something that would celebrate and honor my heritage by infusing Latinx art and ingredients into the line. We pride ourselves in uplifting the Latinx community while ensuring we’re being inclusive of all communities,” she told HipLatina after the launch.

Facebook Series: Face to Face with Becky G

In November, Becky announced that she would be teaming up with Facebook Watch to create a show full of candid conversations with our favorite Latinx artists discussing social issues within the Latinx community. Her guests on Face to Face with Becky G have so far included Demi Lovato, Chiquis, and Tinashe among other major celebs discussing relevant and timely issues including Latinx representation, LGBTQ issues, and being women in the music industry.

Female Latin Artist Award at the AMAs

Becky G won the Female Latin Artist Award at the American Music Awards for the second year in a row. Not only did she dedicate the award to her fans but she dedicated it to the entire Latinx community saying “estamos presente.” She went on to say to how proud she is to be from Inglewood (a neighborhood in Los Angeles) and to be a Mexicana.

Becky G released hit songs with some some of our favorite Latinx artists like Natti Natasha and El Alfa. Ram Pam Pam hit number one on the Latin Airplay and Latin Rhythm Airplay Billboard charts and Fulanito made it to number four on the Latin Digital Songs list.

The “Bella Ciao” remix for the Netflix series La Casa de Papel has been gaining a lot of attention since its release earlier this month. “I have always loved ‘La Casa de Papel’ (’Money Heist’) and the way this show connected with millions of people across the world. ‘Bella Ciao’ is an iconic song and marks an important moment in the series, so being asked to reimagine it and be a part of the Casa de Papel world is truly an honor. From recording the song to shooting the video, I hope everyone enjoys this cover as much as I do!” she said in a statement.

Grammy Performance with Christina Aguilera

We couldn’t contain our excitement when we heard that Christina Aguilera was dropping a new single in Spanish. She joined forces with Becky G, Nathy Peluso, and Nicki Nicole to create a strong and beautiful song about girl power. Before the song dropped, Becky G tweeted “Soon I have a song with one of my idols. I can’t believe it!” Shortly after the song was released, the group performed together at the 2021 Latin Grammys. The entire performance showcased Latin pride, cultural diversity, and female empowerment.

Red Table Talk Episode with the Estefans

In October, Becky joined the Estefans on their show Red Table Talk and discussed gender stereotypes within the music industry and the struggles she’s face in her career. When asked about her insecurities, Becky said “If you ask me, I still don’t feel like I’m secure. It’s interesting where that fear comes from because it’s not things; it’s not a car, it’s not a big house, it’s not anything. You just want to be taken care of.”

Becky is known for her bold and trendy style so a collab in fashion makes sense. In June, she partnered with Dime Optics to bring us a stylish sunglasses and blue light glasses collection with a variety of frames. Only a month after launching the collection, they were sold out. Vegas Residency at Zouk Night Club

In September, Becky G joined the list of artists who were set to perform a number of shows at Zouk Night Club in Las Vegas. Resorts World has grown in popularity since its recent grand opening and has held multiple reggaeton concerts featuring artists like Karol G and J Balvin at their day club pool parties. Becky G brought musical diversity to the Las Vegas strip and we hope to see more of that in 2022.

Becky G became a brand ambassador for Pretty Little Thing and created a collection of loungewear, nightwear, and streetwear. This collection featured 30 unique looks and represented the Latinx community that Becky G grew up in. “My biggest source of inspiration is the fashion in LA and the clothing I grew up seeing my mom wear,” Becky exclusively told E! Online. “There’s also that a bit of comfort and street style, mixed with a little spice that is true to how I dress when I am not on stage and is a reflection of my Cali girl roots!”
