Normally, most of us would be in the middle of cuffing season but TBH our personal lives have been drier than the Sahara Desert. But plenty of reggaetoneros have figured out how to find (and lose) love in the middle of a pandemic, so at least we can live vicariously through them, right? During this past year, we have seen breakups, engagements, pregnancy scares, and lots of good chismes. Let’s take a closer look at our favorite celeb couples because who knows what 2021 will bring us. Will you be dating Maluma? Truly, only time will tell.

Bad Bunny and Gabriela Berlingeri have been together since 2017, and Bad Bunny has been going hard on Instagram all quarantine long, flaunting his relationship and his bod. We thought it was entertaining but at the same time, we were surprised because when they were dating before, they always kept things more low-key. The couple originally met at a restaurant after one of Bunny’s concerts, shortly after he broke up with his long time girlfriend Carliz de la Cruz. In an interview with Rolling Stone, Bunny suggested that his album, YHLQMDLG, may be somewhat of a timeline of the couple’s relationship. It makes sense since the album starts off with songs about an ex and transitions to songs about moving on.

There are two things we Latinas love: chismes and Maluma. So, this past year, Maluma dropped a little single titled “Hawai,” maybe you’ve heard of it? *pause for fangirl screaming*. Anyway, this song was basically about his epic feud with his ex-bestie and soccer player, Neymar, and his ex-girlfriend and DJ, Natalie Barulich. Rumor has it that Natalie was spotted with Neymar while she was still in a relationship with Maluma. She eventually broke up with Maluma to be with Neymar and posted photos of them vacationing in Hawaii together. Our beloved Papi Juancho released the hit song “Hawaii” and Neymar, along with his teammates, took to Instagram to mock the singer by singing along to his hit single. Although Maluma denies the rumors that he is fighting with Neymar and Natalie, we will always be team Pretty Boy, Dirty Boy, Baby.

One of the most famous couples in reggaeton gave us a scare this year when they were rumored to have split up. Rumors started circulating when they posted less and less of themselves on Instagram and when Karol G went back to Colombia alone. Supposedly, Karol G sent a controversial message to Natti Natasha a few weeks ago advising the Dominican singer to stay away from Anuel. Oh wait, it gets better. People were also speculating that Anuel was secretly dating Natti Nat while he was in a relationship with Karol G. In early November, the Bichota singer sent an emotional message to Anuel saying how much she missed him and wanted to be with him during this time. She then posted a clip on her Instagram of the two together and kissing. We obvi want these two to be together forever, but this is some good chisme.

Natti Natasha is probably one of the most private reggaetoneras in the business. Not many people knew that before she became La Dura de Las Duras, she was married at the age of 21. She hadn’t come out about her previous marriage, someone had actually leaked her wedding photos online. Once those photos were leaked, chismosas from all over wanted to know Who is he? What happened next? Did they get divorced? Unfortunately for us, the singer has kept quiet about it but she did confirm that she is now divorced. To keep the chisme going, in May of 2020, Natti caught our attention when she shared on her social media that she had taken an at-home pregnancy test. To top it off, her manager Raphy Pina, was in the photo that she posted when she shared that the pregnancy test was negative. So of course, her fans put two-and-two together and assumed that the two were involved romantically. When asked about it in the HOLA! USA’s December issue, Natti says that she is in love with music and her career.

Nicky Jam got engaged to model Cydney Monreau back in February. He posted a photo of the engagement on his social media with the caption, “I hope we last until we’re old. I’m the happiest man in the world and no one is going to change that.” They both met on the set of “Atrevete” back in 2019, where Monreau played Jam’s love interest. It’s official, Lele Pons and Guaynaa are a couple and of course, they announced it on Instagram earlier this month. Like, if you don’t make it Instagram official, are you really even together? The social media star posted a slideshow of photos of the two cuddling together in the snow, hugging, kissing, and just being affectionate. The Puerto Rican rapper also posted a pic captioned, “Babe!” Gossip about the two dating started to flow back in September after they released their smash hit, “Se Te Nota.” They even did a couple’s costume on Halloween so as they say, couples that dress alike stay together.

J Balvin and Argentinian model Valentina Ferrer made their relationship public at the 2020 Grammys. The two met on the set of Balvin’s music video for “Sigo Extrañándote.” Where can we sign up to be in one of these music videos because it seems like that’s how we are going to be able to finally date a reggaetonero? Back in November, Colombia’s Canal 1 reported that the couple was expecting their first child. Neither Balvin nor Ferrer have confirmed or denied the rumor so let’s keep our ears open for any news in the near future.

In November, fans started speculating that Rosalia and Rauw Alejandro were dating after there was a photo posted of the two on social media. Although Rosalia is one of the biggest Spanish artists in the world right now, there is little known about her personal life. So for her to post a photo of a bouquet of red roses with the caption, “Thanks for the flowers bb,” is kind of a big deal. The face that Alejandro replied with the rose and smiley face emoji made it an even bigger deal! The two have previously released a couple of songs together so we honestly wouldn’t be surprised if the rumors are true.

Tini Stoessel appeared in the “Christina” music video for Sebastian Yatra. (Yet again, another music video romance.) After that video, it was pretty obvious that the two were more than just amigos. In June 2019, Sebastian and Tini (aka Sebastini) made their relationship official on the IG. Yatra posted a photo with the caption, “Cada vez mas amor.” Unfortunately, in May of 2020, the couple announced they had split, telling fans that the decision was mutual. Shortly after the breakup, Sebastian collaborated with Danna Paola, a Mexican singer and actress, on their song “No Bailes Sola.” Fans went crazy and started to speculate that the two were an item but Yatra told Univision that the rumors were untrue. Looks like he is currently single. Um, when are the next auditions for his music video? Sign us TF up!

Ozuna got emotional earlier this year when he announced that he had proposed to his longtime girlfriend and mother of his children, Taína Marie Meléndez. They’ve been together for eight years now, so it’s about time. The singer posted a video of the engagement announcement on his social media accompanied by the caption, “A very special day.” He gave a heartfelt speech saying “the most special thing a family has is a marriage and I had been wanting to get married but I was waiting for a special moment and I didn’t have time … but I finally asked and told her I wanted to get married.” We’re not crying, you’re crying. Congrats to the happy couple!
